The client is the 12th largest school district in the region with 25 elementary schools, 2 preschools, 8 middle schools, 5 high schools and multiple support locations. The client has 2,900 benefit eligible employees.

For their 2010 enrollment, the client was adding an HSA medical plan. The client needed assurance that this change would be clearly communicated to their employees. In addition, the client intended to move to an electronic enrollment and no longer use a paper environment. Communicating these changes in advance of enrollment would be of major importance to ensure a successful enrollment.

WorkPlace Solutions developed a comprehensive benefit booklet that described all benefits and explained the upcoming changes.  Booklets were distributed to each employee prior to enrollment. Employees would have two options to enroll – meet onsite with a Benefit Specialist or call our Customer Care Center.

The new high deductible medical plan was well received with 62% of employees moving to the new plan.  Following enrollment, all data was successfully transmitted, eliminating the past burden of paperwork.
